Marangu route is the most popular route and is also known as the Coco-Cola route. It takes 5 days to complete, and climbers stay in huts with beds. Great option for beginners.

PROGRAM

DAY 1 KILIMANJARO – MOSHI
Upon arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport; our guide driver will meet and transfer you to Moshi. Check and overnight at Sal Salinero Lodge. Dinner is on own arrangements.

DAY 2: MARANGU GATE – MANDARA HUT
At 08:00am after breakfast you will be transferred to Marangu gate where you will be met by our Mountain guide for a short briefing and registration, then begin trekking through the rain forests, to Mandara Hut. Overnight Stay Mandara Hut 2700m. (Approximant estimated 4 – 5 hours walking).
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 5: HOROMBO HUT
After breakfast, leave the glades of the rain forest and continue trekking into open rolling moorland. Horombo Hut. Overnight Stay Horombo Hut 3720m. (Approximant estimated 5 – 6 hours walking).

DAY 4:  ACCIMATIZATION DAY – HOROMBO HUT (extra charge 260$)
Today day spent for acclimatization, it will provide you an opportunity for you to acclimatize gradually to the altitude. Acclimatization day will effectively double your chance of making it to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. There are a few walks you can make in the vicinity of the hut – the most popular of which is to the base of Mawenzi Peak 4600m, the dramatic north eastern summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The walk will takes approximant four to five hours (round trip), and will get you to an altitude from 3720m to 4600m before you return for overnight Stay Horombo Hut 3720m.

DAY 5: KIBO HUT
After a good night rest, trek past the last water point to reach Kibo saddle, a broad desert zone between the two peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. Kibo Hut 4725m. Overnight Stay Kibo Hut. (Approximant estimated 5 – 6 hours walking).
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 6: TO UHURU PEAK THE SUMMIT 5895m – HOROMBO HUT
The start for the summit is made just after midnight. The steepest part of the route is to Gillman’s point 5700m, a further one and a half hours walk to Uhuru Peak 5895m.  Then descend to Horombo Hut,   for overnight Stay Horombo Hut 3807m. (Approximant estimated 8 – 9 hours walking).

DAY 7: MARANGU GATE TRANSFER TO ARUSHA
The day is spent descending from Horombo Hut 3807m to the Marangu Gate 1800m. >From Mount Kilimanjaro transfer to Arusha city which is start point of Northern Tanzania Safaris and centre point of Cape to Cairo. (Approximant estimated 3 – 4 hours walking). Upon arrival at 1100am met by our driver guide and transferred to Arusha for overnight stay at the SG Premium Resort where you are booked on Bed and breakfast.

BEST TIME
All year except April and May (rain season);December – March – the best conditions and temperature for trekking; July – September – good conditions but colder; October – November – short rains possible.
At any time during trekking, at the top is very cold temperature (- 20 degrees), high humidity, low air pressure, windy and it’s snowing.
DESCRIPTION
The mountain is part of the Kilimanjaro National Park and is a major climbing destination. Kilimanjaro is the highest solitary massif in Africa, and rises approximately 4,877 metres from its base to 5,895 metres above sea level. Kilimanjaro consists of three peaks: Uhuru (5895m asl, there is Kibo – the highest volcano in the world ), Mawenzi (5150m asl) and Shira (3940m asl). There are six traditional climbing routes to the top. The easiest of these is the Marangu Route – reaching at the summit and the descent to the gates of the park takes minimum five days. You can also make a trip to the Shira Plateau, on the lower floors are botanical trails.

National Park is located around Kilimanjaro mountain and it’s situated near the town of Moshi in Tanzania. Park was created in 1910 as a nature reserve, in 1921 received additional the status of forest reserve. Since 1973 the hill above the line of the forest are a national park (open to the public since 1977). In 1987 Park was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

This is PRIVATE TREKKING camp. Minimal age of the participant is 14 years old and child pays as an adult. Minimal number of participants is 1 people. The minimum required number of people is 1. You must have a card inscribed with the International vaccination for yellow fever. The vaccination must be presented when entering the country. Tourists should have full medical insurance for the increased risks associated with the practice of mountain climbing, you should also take precautions against malaria.
